The maxi yachts that will be present in Porto Cervo from 3 to 9 September for the 33rd edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, organized by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in collaboration with Title sponsor Rolex and the International Maxi Association, are approaching the threshold of 50 subscribers.

Starting from September 3rd, the greatest sailing champions and many important names in yacht design, as well as owners and sailors, will meet on the docks in front of the YCCS on the occasion of the 33rd edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup which, more than ever this year, promises to be rich in events and participants.

The fleet of competing yachts, whose minimum length is 60 feet (18.30 meters), ranges from cruisers to pure racers to multihulls which, due to their increasing popularity, are the main novelty of this year. The boats are divided into different Classes according to their type and performance and the race courses are designed to allow competitors to sail around the islands of the La Maddalena Archipelago, enjoying a unique natural setting in the world. For the more technical classes, there are also stick races.

Every day, depending on wind forecasts, the Race Committee will choose the most suitable route, usually differentiating its length to allow all classes to race for a similar time. Once back on land and after completing the usual operations on board, social moments are planned for both crews and owners and their guests.

The Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup will end on September 9th
